Came here for breakfast today, thinking I'd have great country-esque, home-cooked food, but to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The service was slow. It took like 30 minutes from the time we ordered until we got it. There wasn't anyone here, so I'm not sure why service is so slow. Food was OK. The French toast was soggy and the bacon entirely too crispy. The eggs were all right, but I've had better. I had to ask for drink refills and we hardly saw the server once we ordered. Overall, a disappointing experience.

If you've been to a Bob Evan's before, well, this is just like that. Recently updated, so the interior & menus are fairly new & more stylish. Service is generally very good & prompt. Cooks struggle with eggs that aren't scrambled, over-easy, or poached. Both my significant other & I take ours over-medium, and in over 10 visits, they've always been delivered over-easy, for both of us.

Would give it a half star if knew how. We were seated an diner looked by the waitress not once but 3 times even after I thought I had her attention. We gave up on Bob Evens a while back and were hungry though we would stop in since there were no cars in the parking lot. I wonder why? Manager looked to busy playing on a tablet/laptop to do anything about it except to tell his story about a broken window on his car.

Food was mostly burned. Sausage gravy was not right. Eggs were not cooked right. Pancakes didn't taste homemade.

Food looks nothing like menu pics. "Double chocolate chip" pancakes must mean they normally add one chip and bump it up to two to make it "double". Crepes were cold when served. Toast was un-toasted bread. When we pointed these issues out, our waitress became very confused. We ended up asking for manager, who was helpful enough and remade a portion of our order. By the time it arrived though, we were full from eating and then sitting and waiting. Overall, very disappointing location.

This is a very casual, homely restaurant with friendly service. The breakfast portions are large and the pancakes are huge. The food was good and very reasonably priced. Do get the apple pie fries. They're slices of apple dipped in a batter and deep fried . They're served with a caramel sauce. Dip lightly, otherwise it might be too sweet.

The two stars is a reflection on the food. Would be a one star if it hadn't been for the very charming server and pretty quick service. The food was beyond disappointing for the price. Granted, it was late night, and not breakfast (which maybe is their specialty). I opted for a half sandwich/soup combo, which must have run about 7-8 bucks. I go out to lunch alot during the week and am pretty familiar with what other chains offer for a half/half combo. Being $8, it should have been a decent one. All over the restaurant is them promoting their soups and how you can get take-out soup, etc. Signs that the soup must be good, no? So, I opted for the loaded baked potato soup (how can you go wrong with that) and a turkey bacon half sand. It was literally the most disappointing soup I've ever ordered. Literally a cheese sauce with cubed al dente (meaning NOT COOKED fully) potatoes and a sprinkle of bacon. It was terrible. The sandwich was OK but was literally the size of a dinner roll. It was ridiculously small on the plate, I should have taken a picture. Again, the service and server was wonderful and maybe it was just bad luck with my order choice this night, but man, what disappointing food. To be fair, I will try and go there for breakfast and give a better review, if warranted then.

I will never return to this Bob Evans restaurant again. After being seated for 10 minutes, I had to ask one of the hosts if we had a server, as we had not been greeted by anyone at the table. After 5 more minutes, the manager stopped by to take our drink orders. Another 10 minutes passed, and a hostess brought us our drinks and wrote our order up. Shortly after, a server stopped and asked if anyone had taken our order. I told her that our order had been taken by the hostess. Nobody else stopped at the table again, except the hostess to bring our food. She didn't bring us butter for the waffle and french toast. She forgot the eggs I had ordered. We waited 5 minutes for her to return with butter for my waffle which had of course gotten cold. She brought me one scrambled egg instead of two, and just kept apologizing, saying she was supposed to be hosting. My dissatisfaction was not really with her, as she was just clearly not comfortable trying to wait on a table. Instead, I am completely appalled by the obvious inept management. I may have forgiven the poor service if the food had at least been good. My waffle was cold, and tasted like it'd been cross-contaminated by onions, and my scrambled egg had a distinct rubber flavor. Needless to say, Bob Evans Restaurants will not ever see me again.

Unfortunately, people in Orlando that are not from the midwest and have never had real Bob Evans will think that this chain sucks. Bob Evans is an awesome family restaurant -- everywhere else but here. I have given this restaurant chance after chance and they just keep screwing up. Either they screw up our order, or the food is either overcooked (any type of meat/eggs) or undercooked (mainly home fries, french toast, or french fries). We generally feel like we are not eating at a Bob Evans restaurant. Luckily, we know better, but most people don't. We have decided that we are going to stop eating at this Bob Evans and stick to the locations up north. We're just tired of being disappointed.

We were out of town and decided to try Bob Evans- as we don't have any nearby where we are from. The service was great and the food was very affordable! We recommend you getting their 3 course meal deal. It was also my mom's birthday and instead of being obnoxious and singing AT her, the manager came and asked her what flavor pie she liked then brought it to her. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

I literally downloaded the yelp app so I could share my experience at Bob Evans of Lake Mary. Love the food but the service is horrible. Customers are definitely not a priority to anyone in that restaurant. I always get the crepes and normally they are excellent. Today the filling tasted like it was sour , or spoiled. Overall I don't understand how this place is still in business. Food is sometimes good but service always sucks. Even the managers just ignore people. I'm not coming here for a while.

Bob Evans is Bob Evans. Not spectacular but a good place to get a good meal, breakfast or dinner. We don't usually go to this location in Lake Mary but we did meet someone for breakfast this time and it was really good. Their coffee is pretty good, much better than many high volume breakfast restaurants. Farmers Breakfast is my favorite because it gives me a bit of everything. Their sausage gravy and biscuits are a favorite of the family. On rare occasion we come in for dinner. Honestly, the main reason we go for dinner is it is quick and fairly inexpensive. Their salmon dinner is good and my wife loves the turkey dinner. #Yelp100

Across the street from our hotel, we got an early start so wanted to fill up with a good hearty breakfast as our hotel's breakfast was not set up yet. This place offers reasonable prices on breakfast, while offering some old time favorites that hubby likes. Biscuits with gravy, omelets, pancakes, waffles, etc.... Shelly was our waitress and she was sweet, kidding around with all her guest and looked like she enjoyed her job. She kept our coffee filled and checked on us twice to see if we needed anything. I ordered a plain waffle and it was light, fluffy, airy and tasted perfect. Add a little syrup and it hit the spot. Hubby ordered a classic breakfast which consisted of two eggs, sausage patty, and french toast. The food was good, the coffee was horrible. Orange juice was nice and fresh. I do not know why the coffee was so bad but after half a cup had to order an orange juice. Decent breakfast with good service, clean restaurant and bathrooms. They also offered a great selection of pies to choose from.
